Revised 2008 - in response to popular demand, the SOBHD agreed to stabilize the steps and formulate a technique, the compilation of which was placed in the hads of the Technical Committee of SOBHD, comprised of representatives from the BATD, SDTA, UKA and Independant Members having compiled the technique.
The Scottish version of the Sailors' Hornpipe is a development of the traditional English version of that dance and portrays actions used in the daily work routine of the sailor.
