PRIVACY and SECURITY

 

Highland Island respects your right to privacy and security on the internet. We want to form a relationship with our visitors and customers based on mutual trust and confidence and therefore pledge the following to all visitors of our web site:

 

1.     Any personal information collected (phone number, email, address, etc) will be held strictly confidential by Highland Island and NEVER RELEASED OR SOLD to a third party. Phone and address information will only be used to fulfill and verify orders. Email addresses will be used for the same purposes, and, from time to time, to announce new products or features available at Highland Island. Email announcements will always contain information for “opting out” of our email list.

 

2.     Highland Island utilizes secure shopping cart technology to ensure any credit card information provided by our customers remains secure. Orders and all personal and credit card information are removed from the internet as rapidly as possible and processed off-line to provide an extra layer of security for our customers.

3. It is our store policy that when ordering by credit card, the billing address of the credit card must match the address where we delivery your order. If you would like your order delivered to an address other than your credit card billing address, please EMail or call us at 877-44-FLING.

ORDERING INFORMATION

 

SHIPPING & HANDLING 

Continental US - Estimated shipping and handling charges are calculated in our shopping cart based on product weight and size. Certain items may require additional shipping charges due size/weight of package, delivery location and other factors. We will notify you of these additional charges and ask for approval before charging your card and shipping your order. Ground shipping is through USPS or FedEx Ground. Items shipped by ground are shipped from Gt. Barrington, MA and will arrive between 4-7 business days after ordering. Second Day Air and Next Day Air shipping via FedEx or Express Mailis available for many products. Items ordered with these expedited shipping methods will receive priority handling and ship within 1 business day of order placement. Tracking information will be provided for all shipments. 

All other locations – We ship daily to Canada, Great Britain, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa and other countries.  We normally ship via US Mail as this is the most economical and reliable option we have found.  We are often able to ship for less than what is calculated by our shopping cart and will adjust the total amount prior to charging your card when possible For a firm shipping quote prior to ordering please EMail us with the items you wish to order and your complete shipping address. When ordering from a country other than the US, please be advised that the customer may be responsible for any taxes, duty, customs fees, etc. and that customs delays may delay quoted delivery times.

 

WARRANTY & EXCHANGE/RETURN INFORMATION 

Many of our products are covered by manufacturers’ warranties. If applicable, warranty information and all documentation will be included in your order. 

Your satisfaction is of the utmost importance to us! Exchanges and returns on most items will be accepted within fourteen (14) days of receipt for most items. If the item is to be given as a gift, please provide gift date when placing order and we will begin the Exchange/Return period on the gift date. All items must be returned in original packaging and original condition or full credit WILL NOT be issued. All returns and exchanges MUST include original sales receipt. Please indicate your reason for return or exchange and include all pertinent information for exchange. Exchanges will be subject to applicable shipping and handling fees. Credits for returns may take up to two billing cycles to appear on your credit card statement. Shipping and handling charges (including those included in the purchase price of some items) are never refundable. Please note the special return/exchange conditions for the following items: 

Footwear – Footwear MUST be free of dirt, scuffs, etc. with sizing labels intact. We strongly suggest trying the shoes on a clean, soft carpet or towel to ensure the soles stay clean and a proper fit is achieved. You MUST include laces and a bag when returning shoes. If shoes show any sign of wear on the bottom, a credit WILL NOT be issued. Shoes sent to you "On Spec" must be returned within fourteen (14) days in accordance with above-stated conditions. If not received by Highland Island within fourteen (14) days, your credit card will be charged for the price of the shoes. 

CD’s & CDs & DVDs:– Once opened, CDs & DVDs are not returnable. 

Hair Products - Once opened, hair products are not returnable. No exceptions.

Portable Practice Equipment - Dance flooring and portable dance barres may be required to be returned directly to manufacturer. Please call or eMail for specific instructions prior to returning or exchanging these items.

Custom Orders – Custom ordered items are not returnable. 

 

BACK ORDERS 

In the event that we are out of stock of a particular item, we will notify you immediately and give you an estimated shipping date. Unless otherwise instructed, we will fulfill and ship the remainder of your order. You will not be charged for a back-ordered item until it is shipped. Also, we will never charge you additional shipping charges for shipping a back-ordered item.
